Uncomfortable as one shoe was defective, poor quality leather

I have always worn Wolverine boots and should have, lesson learned. I thought the Timberland would fit better, as I have a narrow foot and they appeared to be more narrow. I wore these for a week and the right shoe cut into my toe. Thought I needed to break them in, wore different socks, etc., but continued to cause issues. The leather was a secondary issue that I did not bring up when I called, as there is a "no return policy" on worn boots, wouldn't have mattered. I was told to send pics, etc., and company would make a decision, etc., I could tell that it would not be worth my time. In short, I am out $135+ and, I need to buy another pair of boots. I have never had to return boots before and I have been working in the Horticulture industry for over 40 years. I will not buy from Construction Gear or Timberland in the future. Highly recommend Wolverine work boots.

      Hurts the toes.

Right where the steel toe begins, the boots press down and rub against the tops of my toes. The right is worse than the left. The seam along the top part rubs against the ankle/ankle bone creating a lot of pain as well. I had to take laces out of the top two rows of holes in order to wear them. I know that it takes a while to break new boots in, but I didn't expect these to hurt. I love Timberland, but I'm disappointed that these cause so much pain. Otherwise, the padding is good, and the width is just right.
